This article will cover the main things you need to know about Ezoic and how you can integrate it with your website, here at WPX.

Can I use Ezoic with WPX Hosting?

Yes, you can use Ezoic and any other third-party platform such as Cloudflare, and our WPX XDN. Since Ezoic is mainly oriented toward promoting and providing users the ability to use ads to fund their businesses and traffic, it is not focused so much on content delivery.

It is important to have a fully dedicated Content Delivery Network and that is where WPX XDN comes in. You can integrate it and use it at the same time with Ezoic, which would let you get the benefit of performance on our end and ads integration on their end.

Ezoic integration using Nameservers

The first option to integrate your website with Ezoic would be through DNS – NS records. This method allows you to use the Ezoic CDN network and features.

To complete the integration you would need to create and log in to your Ezoic account from where you will need to get the specific Nameservers that need to be changed.

The last step would be to log in to your Domain Registrar from where you manage your domain and make the needed changes.

If you wish to use our WPX XDN with Ezoic, you will need to manually add the needed A records to your account, so that it can continue to work correctly.

Ezoic integration with Cloudflare

If you already have a Cloudflare account, you can easily connect to Ezoic without changing any DNS records.

Ezoic is a Certified Cloudflare partner which makes the process very easy. When you create an account with Ezoic, it will immediately detect if the site is using Cloudflare CDN. From there, you will be prompted to connect both accounts via username and password which will complete the process.

Ezoic integration with WordPress Plugin

There is a way to connect Ezoic with your WordPress site through a plugin as well. Keep in mind that this process is slower and can cause issues with plugin conflict.

The plugin is Ezoic’s own and it comes with some cache features which will allow you to configure your integration and use it further.

In this case, there are no DNS changes needed and you can continue using your active WPX XDN if enabled.

WPX XDN integration with Cloudflare and Ezoic

You can use our WPX XDN with both Ezoic and Cloudflare. The process is more complicated and will require you to make DNS changes.

Since the integration between Cloudflare and Ezoic happens by linking both accounts, the active DNS zone will be at Ezoic, despite the NS records being pointed to Cloudflare. The management of records will need to be handled from Ezoic Dashboard to take effect. There, you will need to add specific A records connecting our WPX XDN to your website, so it can start working.

These are the three main methods with which you can connect your website to Ezoic. Remember that it is always best to set up the site and prepare to test the integration before any live promotions or work you may be doing during a campaign you planned.

If there is an issue with the site, the debugging process would be harder and slower since it would require checking the website and making sure that the issue is server-related or to any of the third-party services you may be using such as Cloudflare or Ezoic.

What is Lazy Load, and how does my website benefit from it?

Enabling Lazy Load can significantly improve your website’s performance. This is because the browser loads only the images currently in view, rather than all images on the page at once. In other words, Lazy Load delays loading content that isn’t immediately visible—such as images further down the page—until the user scrolls to them.

How can I activate Lazy Load?

To enable Lazy Load, you’ll need to install an optimization plugin. Below are some tested and recommended options by our Optimization Team:

Autoptimize

Autoptimize is a reliable and user-friendly optimization plugin that includes built-in Lazy Load functionality. Here’s how to enable it:

Step 1. Install LiteSpeed Cache

Before installing LiteSpeed Cache, make sure to deactivate and uninstall any other caching plugins to prevent conflicts or performance issues.

To install LiteSpeed Cache:

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

Step 3. Download WPX pre-configured settings

Once logged in:

1. Go to the Tools menu.
2. Click on LS Cache.
3. You’ll see two downloadable configuration files:
   • WPX LSCache Recommended Settings – The standard configuration optimized for general use.
   • WPX LSCache Recommended Settings With Minify – For websites that already use minified JavaScript and CSS files.

If you’re not sure whether your site uses minified code, it’s best to stick with the standard settings. Using the minified version on a non-minified site can cause layout issues.

Step 4: Unzip the downloaded file

After downloading the settings file, unzip it using your system’s built-in archive tool or a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip.

Step 5: Import the settings into LiteSpeed Cache

Go back to your WordPress dashboard.

1. Hover over LiteSpeed Cache in the left-hand menu.
2. Then, select Toolbox.

In the LiteSpeed Cache Toolbox:

1. Navigate to the Import/Export tab.
2. Under the Import Settings section, click Choose File, select the unzipped .json file, and click Upload.

Once uploaded, you’ll see a confirmation message indicating the settings were successfully imported.

How to clear the cache?

To clear all cached files manually:

1. Hover over the LSCache icon in the WordPress admin bar.
2. Click Purge All from the dropdown menu.

This is especially useful after updating content or making design changes.

Step 3. Download WPX pre-configured settings

Once you’re logged into WPX:

1. Go to Tools.
2. Click on W3 Total Cache.
3. Download the WPX Recommended Settings file (approx. 5 KB).

This file contains a tailored configuration that’s optimized for our hosting environment.

Step 4. Unzip (extract) the zipped file

After downloading the file to your device, unzip it using your system’s archive utility or a tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip.

Step 5: Import the сettings into W3 Total Cache

1. Go back to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Hover over the Performance menu in the top admin bar and click on General Settings.
3. Scroll down to the Import/Export Settings section near the bottom.
4. Click Choose File and select the unzipped .json file, and click Upload to import the settings.

Once imported, the page will reload, and a confirmation message will appear at the top of your screen.

While these settings are optimized for WPX, they may not be ideal for every website. Feel free to review and tweak the configuration to better suit your specific needs.

How to clear the Cache?

To manually purge your cache:

1. Hover over Performance in the admin bar.
2. Click Purge All Caches.

This is helpful after making content or design changes to ensure visitors see the most recent version of your site.

Step 4. Download WPX pre-configured settings

Once logged in:

1. Navigate to Tools > WP Rocket in your WPX account.
2. Choose one of the two available configuration files:

• WPX WP Rocket Recommended Settings – the standard version optimized for most sites.
• WPX WP Rocket Recommended Settings With Minify – for websites that already bundle or minify their JS and CSS files.

If you’re unsure whether your site uses minified files, we recommend sticking with the standard configuration. Improper minification settings may cause layout or styling issues.

Step 5. Unzip (extract) the zipped file

Once downloaded, extract the ZIP file on your computer to prepare it for upload.

Step 6. Rename the file to match your site

WP Rocket requires imported configuration files to match your website’s internal name format. To do this:

1. Rename the WPX-recommended settings file using that exact filename (keeping the .json extension).
2. In your WordPress dashboard, export your current WP Rocket settings to generate a file.
3. Copy the exact filename of the exported file.

Step 7. Upload the settings

Now go back to your WordPress dashboard:

1. Hover over the WP Rocket menu in the admin bar.
2. Select Settings.

Under Import Settings, upload the renamed .json file and click Upload file and import settings.

While WPX’s recommended settings offer a great starting point, we always recommend reviewing and adjusting them to fit your website’s specific needs and setup.

How to Clear the Cache?

To manually clear the cache after making changes to your website:

1. Hover over the WP Rocket menu in the top admin bar.
2. Click Clear Cache.

This will ensure all visitors see the latest version of your content.

How to properly start a speed test?

Before running any speed test, it’s essential to use the correct version of your website’s URL. Make sure you’re testing the exact URL that your visitors see when accessing your site, including:

• HTTP or HTTPS
• www or non-www

For example, if your site loads as https://www.example.com, using http://example.com in a speed test will show inaccurate or lower performance scores.

GTMetrix

GTMetrix is one of the most popular and detailed performance analysis tools used in the WordPress community.

How to use GTmetrix:

1. Visit GTmetrix.com
2. Enter your full website URL.
3. Click the Test Now button.

After the scan is complete, GTmetrix will generate a detailed report including:

• Summary: Offers an overview of performance scores, Time to First Byte (TTFB), and Fully Loaded Time, with visual breakdowns of the loading sequence.
• Performance: Displays scores from Google’s Lighthouse engine. While highly technical, focusing on TTFB, First Contentful Paint (FCP), and Speed Index is a good starting point.
• Waterfall: Provides a visual breakdown of every request loaded by your site. This is especially useful for identifying slow-loading resources such as large images, third-party scripts, or unused files.

Google PageSpeed Insights

Google PageSpeed Insights (PSI) is another essential tool that measures your site’s performance on both mobile and desktop devices.

How to use PSI:

1. Visit PageSpeed Insights
2. Enter your website URL.
3. Click Analyze.

What it provides:

• Separate performance scores for mobile and desktop views.
• Core Web Vitals metrics like Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Total Blocking Time (TBT).
• Suggestions for improvements (often very technical and developer-focused).

Unlike GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights does not include a Waterfall view or a detailed breakdown of load order. However, it does provide guidance based on Google’s performance standards.

PSI often flags issues that require developer-level fixes related to themes, database optimization, or JavaScript handling.

Since NitroPack relies on DNS-based detection, if your site is not directly pointing to WPX’s IP addresses (e.g., when using Cloudflare’s proxy), you’ll need to configure additional integration steps for everything to work smoothly.

If your website is directly connected to WPX XDN’s IPs without any proxy, no special setup is needed; cache clearing will happen automatically.

Step 1. Log in to NitroPack

Go to https://app.nitropack.io and log in to your NitroPack dashboard.

Step 2. Open the Integrations Menu

From the NitroPack dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section in the sidebar menu.

Step 3. (Optional) Connect your Cloudflare Account

If your site uses Cloudflare as a proxy, you need to connect NitroPack to Cloudflare:

• In the Cloudflare integration widget, click View Settings.
• Enter your Cloudflare API token in the provided field to link NitroPack and Cloudflare.

This connection allows NitroPack to properly clear the cache when your site is behind Cloudflare’s proxy.

Step 4. Configure the Reverse Proxy Settings for WPX XDN

Return to the Integrations page and find the Reverse Proxy (Varnish, NGINX, etc.) section. Click View Settings to open the configuration.

Fill in the following details:

• URL for performing a complete purge – Enter your full site URL; replace ‘domain’ with your actual site name, for example, https://www.wpx.net, and add ‘/.*’ at the end of the URL – https://www.[domain]/.*
• HTTP method when purging a single URL – Set this to ‘PURGE’.
• HTTP method when purging the entire reverse proxy cache – Set this to ‘PURGE’ as well.
• List of IPs of reverse proxy servers – Add the following IP address: 127.0.0.1:6081

Step 5. Save and Verify Connection

After entering the details, save your changes. Both the Cloudflare and Reverse Proxy integrations should show the status Connected.

You’ve successfully integrated WPX XDN with NitroPack and Cloudflare to enable seamless, automatic cache clearing even when using a proxy.
