Creating a Staging copy of your site is an essential step for testing changes before applying them to your live website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it’s important to note that there are some limitations when using a Staging site<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page<\/a>.\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2. Go to Control Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once logged in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Control Panel<\/strong> button next to the plan you wish to manage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting<\/strong>, Agency Hosting<\/strong> or WooCommerce Hosting<\/strong> tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3. Create Staging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Navigate to the Staging<\/strong> section and from there: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click the Create Staging<\/strong> button, and a new section will appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select the Live site from the dropdown menu<\/strong> for which you want to create the Staging area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click on the Create<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      When the staging area creation starts, a popup will notify you that it’s in progress.
      You can safely close it and continue working in the panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once the merge process is complete, a pop-up notification will appear in the upper-right corner of your panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Since the staging site is a subdomain of your live site, it must be pointed to WPX through your domain’s DNS zone<\/a><\/strong> using the Server IP from your WPX account<\/em>.

      2. If WPX already manages your live site’s DNS, this step is not needed\u2014your staging site is automatically pointed. Note that DNS changes may take some time to       propagate<\/a><\/strong>.

      3. If the staging site is correctly pointed but still inaccessible,       check our article for common causes and how to fix them<\/a><\/strong>.

      4. Your staging site URL will be staging.yourdomain.net<\/code>. For login instructions, refer to our       article<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
