Enhancing the security of your WPX account is essential, and implementing IP security restrictions is an effective measure. Here’s a complete guide to setting up these restrictions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before restricting access to any IP address, first, confirm whether your IP Address is static or dynamic<\/strong>. If you’re unsure, check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Static IP Address<\/strong>: Remains the same over time. Safe for IP access restrictions.
Dynamic IP Address<\/strong>: Changes periodically. Using IP restrictions may lock you out of your account.

If you’re uncertain about your IP type or how to verify it, contact your ISP for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Access Security Settings in Your WPX Account<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in<\/strong> to your WPX account here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. After logging in, navigate to the Security<\/strong> menu on the left-hand side to access your security settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    • The Allowed IP Addresse<\/strong>s menu will show you your current IP address on the left. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Below your IP Address, you will find the Allowed IP Access<\/strong> menu which allows you to add new IP Addresses or subnets to permit access to your WPX account. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • On the right, there are Rule Formats & Examples<\/strong> to help you input acceptable formats for setting IP restrictions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Step 3. Add your IP Address<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To restrict account access exclusively to your IP address, place your IP Address under Allowed IP Access <\/strong>and click on the Add <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
