Installing WordPress on a new website is quick and easy\u2014it only takes a few clicks. If you skipped this step when adding your website, this article will guide you through the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page<\/a>.\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2. Go to Control Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once logged in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Control Panel<\/strong> button next to the plan you wish to manage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting<\/strong>, Agency Hosting<\/strong> or WooCommerce Hosting<\/strong> tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3. Install WordPress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Within the Control Panel:\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click WordPress<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Then select if you want to install WordPress <\/strong>(in the root directory) or in a Subdirectory.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      You can have multiple WordPress installations in different sub-folders however, they will be sharing the resources allocated for the website they are under.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In this example, we’ll install WordPress in the root directory of wpxexample.net. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Next, enter your WordPress installation details, then click Install WordPress<\/strong> to complete the setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We recommend installing W3 Total Cache with our settings for better performance. You can read more about that in our article here<\/strong><\/a>. It is included by default with the installation of WordPress from the WPX Control panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once the installation is complete, a success pop-up will appear with your WordPress admin login details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Be sure to copy and securely save your WordPress username and password. For security reasons, never share your WP-admin credentials with anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      That\u2019s it! WordPress is now installed on your site!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How can I access the WP admin Dashboard? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To access your new WordPress dashboard (backend), click the WP Admin<\/strong> button next to the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Alternatively, you can type in your site in the browser, followed by \/wp-admin:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Then you can log in with the username and password that you’ve just created when installing WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What if WordPress was already installed on the site?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If WordPress is already installed on your website, but you want to start fresh, simply select Ignore existing WordPress installations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you’d like to install WordPress in a subdirectory without affecting your main site, choose the second option and continue from Step 3<\/strong><\/a>, making sure to select Install in Subdirectory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
