This article is only <\/strong>for users who do not <\/strong>have hosting services with WPX but have to manage their domain’s DNS zone and add new DNS records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your domain already uses the NameServers of WPX or another hosting provider, following the procedure below will reset <\/strong>your active DNS zone. That, of course, will lead to downtime, <\/strong>and you’ll have to set the NameServers used before the applied changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page<\/a>.\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2. Domain Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Within the Control Panel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Select Domains <\/strong>from the main side navigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Settings <\/strong>button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    You’ll land on the following page, which shows many details about the domain you’ve selected to manage. The Edit Nameservers <\/strong>(1) button will help you both in changing your NameServers or accessing the advanced DNS management to add new DNS records (such as TXT<\/strong>, CNAME<\/strong>, A records<\/strong>, etc.). You can also directly click on the Edit button <\/strong>(2) below, which will take you to the same page:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3. Manage your DNS records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The next page you’ll see after clicking on the Edit Nameservers<\/strong> button is the one below, proceed with the Advanced DNS Options<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You’ll see the following warning. Make sure to ignore it if your domain isn’t pointed anywhere using NameServers (to a specific hosting service such as WPX). If that’s not the case and your domain is <\/strong>pointed using Name Servers, please make sure to select the Close<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to add DNS records?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    To add a new record, select the +Create Record<\/strong>, then fill in the required information and record type and click on the Create<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
