In WPX we keep two types of logs – Error logs and Access logs. Both types of logs can be checked from your WPX control panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What types of entries are stored in your site’s logs? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Access entries in the Access Log<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can use the access log to view the traffic and the types of requests made to your website. You can monitor where the traffic is coming from by IP addresses, and for example, target specific countries in your next campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ModSecurity entries in the Error Log<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Various error logs indicate different blocks that are implemented to your website from external bad reputation requests or malicious bots. They can be ignored since they are strictly being logged for protection and to track the activity of these malicious requests\/bots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHP Warning entries in the Error Log<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Warnings that are being sent from your websites regarding errors that have happened, but are fixed or are connected to the functionality of third-party plugins\/themes. They can be ignored since they do not affect your website in any way and are not fatal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long do we keep the logs? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here at WPX, we store both Access and Error logs for up to 30 days from the date of request. The Error and Access Logs you see in your WPX Control Panel are the most recent ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you wish to preview logs that date back further in time, for example, two weeks ago, you can contact our support so that they can provide them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s move on to checking the logs from the WPX control panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page<\/a>.\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2. Go to Control Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once logged in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Control Panel<\/strong> button next to the plan you wish to manage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting<\/strong>, Agency Hosting<\/strong> or WooCommerce Hosting<\/strong> tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3. Check the Logs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now that you\u2019re in the Control Panel, select Logs <\/strong>\u2192 Access <\/strong>or Error\/Access Logs<\/strong>, depending on what you want to check for that particular website. A new tab will open with the logs you selected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
