Pointing your domain to WPX means connecting it (e.g. yourdomain.com<\/em>) to your WPX hosting account so your website loads from our servers. This can be done in two ways: by updating the Nameservers<\/strong> or the A records<\/strong> of your domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An important note before you proceed<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your domain is currently connected to another hosting provider and your site is already live, the content must first be migrated to WPX<\/strong> to avoid downtime. You can see how to request a free migration<\/strong> from here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re working on a brand-new project with no existing website, you can skip the migration step and proceed with pointing the domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which method to use for pointing your Domain to WPX<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Using Nameservers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The following nameservers can be used for any domain<\/strong> you want to point to and host with us \u2013 no need to use different ones for different domains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NS1.WPX.NET

NS2.WPX.NET

NS3.WPX.NET<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing the Nameservers will switch your domain\u2019s DNS zone<\/strong> to WPX.
If you\u2019re using any custom DNS<\/strong> records (MX, CNAME, TXT), they need to be added to your WPX panel to avoid issues with external services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, you can point your domain using only A records<\/em>. This way you will keep the active DNS zone at its current state and your website will be loading from WPX. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Using A records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using A records will keep your current DNS zone active (at your domain registrar or DNS provider), but your website will load from WPX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can find your server IP<\/strong> and XDN IPs<\/strong> in your Plan Details<\/strong> inside your WPX Control Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page<\/a>.\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2. Go to Control Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once logged in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Control Panel<\/strong> button next to the plan you wish to manage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting<\/strong>, Agency Hosting<\/strong> or WooCommerce Hosting<\/strong> tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3. Locating the Server Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    You must navigate to the Plan details<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There you can locate your service details – Server IP, XDN IPs and Nameservers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The IP addresses shown on the screenshots and used in these guidelines may differ depending on your hosting server. Please, make sure to use the IPs from your<\/strong> account!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Before you proceed, you\u2019ll need to decide whether or not you\u2019d like to use WPX XDN<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
