How can I log in to my Staging site?

In this article, we’ll show you how to log in to your Staging site.
Once your Staging area is created, you may want to access the WordPress dashboard to test plugins, update content, or make design changes — all without affecting your Live site.

Logging into your Staging site is simple and works the same way as logging into your Live site. Below, we’ll guide you through the steps to access it quickly and securely.

Step 1. Log in to your WPX account

Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page.

Step 2. Go to Control Panel

Once logged in:

  1. Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.
  2. Click the Control Panel button next to the plan you wish to manage.

If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting, Agency Hosting or WooCommerce Hosting tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.

Step 3. Access your Staging WP-admin area

You can access your Staging WP-admin area directly from your WPX Control Panel.

The login URL structure for your Staging site is the same as on your Live site.
If you’ve set up a custom login URL, the WP Admin button in the Control Panel will still redirect to the default /wp-admin path.

In this case, you’ll need to manually enter your custom login URL in the browser.
For example: staging.yourwebsite.net/custom-login

  1. Select the Staging section to preview all staging sites.
  2. Click the WP Admin button to open the staging Admin login URL. The staging uses the same logins as the live site.

If your Live site uses Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you may also be prompted to complete the same verification when logging into the Staging site. In some cases, depending on the 2FA plugin, access might be restricted or require reconfiguration.

To avoid any issues, you can temporarily disable 2FA on your Live site before creating the Staging area, and re-enable it once the Staging site is set up.
