Yes, WPX account migrations are possible, allowing you to transfer your websites from one WPX server to another. For instance, if you’ve mistakenly chosen the Australian server but prefer your sites to be hosted in the United Kingdom, WPX can migrate your content to the desired server.
How to request an account migration?
To initiate an account migration:
- Log in to your WPX account
- Open a new support ticket
- Describe your desired migration and submit the ticket.

Account migrations are processed last in the migration queue. Our Migration Experts will keep you updated during the process.
Important Considerations
- Data Center Allocation: Each hosting plan is associated with a specific data center location (Chicago, London, or Sydney). To host websites across different data centers, separate hosting plans are required.
- WPX XDN Benefits: While the WPX XDN (WPX Custom-built Content Delivery Network) enhances global loading times, the origin server remains fixed at your selected data center unless an account migration is performed.
- Avoid Changes During Migration: It’s crucial not to make any changes to your websites during the migration process, as these changes may not be transferred and could result in data loss.
- Re-Migration Policy: If modifications are made during migration, necessitating a re-migration, this will be considered a paid service. Details are available in our Migration Policy.
- The WPX Migration Team reserves the right to refuse a free migration if the customer is requesting to move a site within 365 days of a previous account migration. In such cases, a paid migration service may be required.
