Adding database users in WPX Hosting is a straightforward process that allows you to manage your databases effectively. Follow these steps to add a new database user:
Step 1. Log in to your WPX account
Begin by logging into your WPX account. You can do this by visiting the WPX login page.
Step 2. Go to Control Panel
Once logged in:
- Locate your hosting plan in the WPX client area.
- Click the Control Panel button next to the plan you wish to manage.
If you have more than five hosting plans of the same type (WordPress, Agency or WooCommerce), not all may appear on the homepage. Use the WordPress Hosting, Agency Hosting or WooCommerce Hosting tab in the left-hand menu to find your service.
Step 3. Add Database User
Within the Control Panel:
- Select the Databases option in the left-hand menu. This section allows you to oversee, manage, and add new databases to your WPX account.
- To add a user, click on the Add User button next to the desired database.
In this example, I will be adding a database user to my database yoanages.
Fill in the required details, including the username and password.
You can use the Password Generator if you prefer an automatically generated password. This way, your passwords will be strong and secure.
Step 4. Check Database User Details
After creating the new user:
- Click on User List (1) to view existing users for the selected database.
- Select Details (2) to preview all information related to a particular database user.
The username you fill in will be added before the system username assigned to every database user.
