I have sold my website to another WPX customer. Can you migrate it for me?

If you no longer need a specific website and its domain name (if purchased through WPX), and the new owner is also hosted with us, there’s no need to worry about the migration process.

Once we receive confirmation from both parties, our Migration Experts will take care of everything and notify you once the transfer is complete.

How to start the migration process?

Get in touch with us via chat or ticket, and let us know which site you’d like to transfer—providing the wp-admin login details will be especially helpful.

We’ll also need the name or email address of the client the website is being transferred to. This allows us to reach out for their confirmation and keep them informed about the transfer process.

Please make sure not to make any changes to the website during the migration, as that will surely affect the process. Some of the changes that you apply to the site during the transfer may not be transferred to the version of the new owner’s hosting plan.

Migration Completed Successfully

Our Migration Experts will email you once the migration is complete. Please note that these types of migrations are lower priority and may take up to 72 hours to finish.

As part of the process, we’ll offer to delete the website from the previous owner’s hosting plan. The new owner will also receive a confirmation that the site is now running from their WPX hosting account. If the domain isn’t yet pointed to WPX, we’ll include clear instructions on how to update the DNS settings.
