PHP Versions
We currently support PHP versions from 7.4 up to 8.3, with 8.4 coming soon as we continue testing its performance and stability.
Here’s what you need to know.
Supported PHP versions: 7.4 – 8.3
Deprecated PHP versions: 5.6, 7.2, and 7.3 are no longer actively maintained and no longer receive security updates.
Need an older version? We may still be able to enable PHP 7.2, 7.3, or 7.4 for your site on request — just contact our Support Team
More recent versions have not yet proven their stability in a dynamic hosting environment to our satisfaction.
It is advised to use the latest available PHP version because it is the fastest and most secure.

You can easily change the PHP version of your sites hosted with WPX from the Control Panel.
Database & Web Server Stack
Here’s a quick overview of the rest of our stack:
- Web Server: LiteSpeed 6.2.x
- Database Engine: MariaDB 10.4 – 10.5
We continuously monitor newer versions but only roll them out once we’re confident they’re stable in high-performance hosting environments.
